Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

New to Prime Day? We have a primer on everything you need to know. Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.

The Galaxy A36 was already a surprisingly good deal at the $400 asking price, but during Prime Day, Samsung is knocking a cool $100 off this 5G smartphone, which offers flagship specs at a budget price. At $299.99 for the 128GB model, the Galaxy A36 is the best deal you'll find on a budget smartphone right now—the Galaxy A36 stands up well against Pixel 9a and the iPhone SE, which both retail for a lot more.

A respectable all-around pick

The Galaxy A36 has a huge 6.7 inch Full-HD screen, a 50MP camera on the back, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. The screen even supports 120Hz high refresh rate. The Super AMOLED display is super bright too, with up to 1900 nits of brightness outdoors. The Snapdragon 6 processor means it’s good for all the day-to-day tasks, and the 6GB RAM will keep it chugging along. There’s also a huge 5,000mAh battery that charges at 45W (though there's no wireless charging support). The 50MP offers vivid, Samsung-style photography.

The phone runs Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI on top, offering some AI features for photo editing, plus Google’s Circle to Search. But the real kicker is the promised six years of OS and security updates. All that in a $300 smartphone is hard to beat. (PCMag’s expert review gave it an “Excellent” rating.)

What do you think so far?

If you’re looking for a true flagship smartphone, consider Samsung’s S25 series—Samsung is offering discounts of $200 to $350 across its entire range of 2025 smartphones.
